I now have a new B9A Valveholder c/w valve retaining clip ( an Edicron SK9CC22-H55 from Rapid Electronica @ £1.25 inc. VAT, should anyone else want to get a similar one), and have removed the subchassis from the amp. containing the old valveholder asnd associated components. Hope the rebuild cures the fault!
