I found a couple of what look like 7Ah SLA batteries. Marked APC, they're presumably from an uninteruuptible power supply. Gave one a quick charge on a car battery charger and it runs the coil nicely. An Avo 8 says that the coil takes about 6A which should be a comfortable discharge rate for the battery.
