Presumably you aren't familiar with Yahoo Groups? It's much more than a simple static website like Alan's.
We have backups of the documents and photos and also the databases. If/when Yahoo pull the plug, the data could be hosted somewhere - though some coding would be required to provide the database functionality (something I could do) but a more tricky aspect is the message archive. I'm not sure if Yahoo Groups allows a mass download of that, and I'm also not sure how we'd make that available to interested parties in the future. But, as we won't be the only folk affected by this, I'm inclined to wait and see what others do before committing serious effort to it.
As for Alan's site, I see no reason to host it here while it's already freely available at Chris's site. I already have a safe copy of it, so between us all, it won't be lost.
