Hi,
Many thanks for sharing this with us David and all the work is turned to an extremely high standard showing immense dedication to the the craft.
The lidded items are indeed beautiful and I notice what looks like a nice piece of spalted beech used for one of the feet.
All are works of art and demonstrate what can be achieved by using a lathe and imagination. No two such pieces can be truly identical because of course the grain will always be different but it takes a great deal of skill; time and patience to turn multiple identical shapes; mounting such items on the the lathe is critical as the least offset will show up most clearly in the finished item. Credit to you all for a first class job.
Kind regards, Col.
