It's huge work to make something of a 1970 boat. I spent the day fixing floor boards, filling window frames and painting fixtures. I am not yet sure whether to use the tungsten lights to preserve the original layout. They are more power hungry. These lights are very old with pushbutton switches and plastic cover (tube shaped). I have the original water tap too. When this boat first came to me it was junk. It had no future. It's fate was as scrap. It had extensive wet rot and shrubs growing out of the cruiser stern. I used it later for storage while I sometimes worked on it. Finally I came to see it had potential. On this boat I repaired 2 large holes (above water level) and fitted an outboard using a special clamp. I fitted AC supply and sockets, rebuilt the bulk head and replaced the rubbing strakes with oak. Some of the work I did was fine and some I decided to redo as my woodwork improved over time. If finally it has a new life again on the water, it's something I can feel good about.
