I hadn't realised that. Just out of curiosity I searched for the CLE of tungsten and found this table: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/linear...-d_95.html
Sure enough it quotes 4.5 for tungsten and 4.0 for pyrex and there is a range of expansion possibilities within the borosilicates although I'm not sure that it goes as low as the 1.5 that might be decoded from a AD15 marking.
I'm not actually seeking a CRT rebuild at present but was interested to decipher the scratched markings on some of these EMI tubes.
