James A. Jopling & Co. in Sunderland certainly were licenced to manufacture Pyrex.

Unfortunately I can't find any link to CRT manufacture. They do have a couple of patents relating to precision glass tubing but this is simply parallel sided.

p.s. Contrary to my previous statement I have now found the US equivalent patent to GB470885A
It is US2160434. The inventor is recorded as Huston Harris, Corning Glass Works, NY
