Hi.
Mine has an EF86 for the gram input working as a preamp. All four sections of the tuner are in use so I'd assume it has bandpass tuning as it has only one RF stage.
It ceases to amaze me how well this tuner works on Medium & Long waves, it surpasses many far more expensive and modern tuners. The big test round here is how well it resolves a weak station only 9Khz apart from our "local" West Sound.
