I hope all are well as its been quite a while since my last post.
I'm currently working on a another valve guitar amp project, in this case to build a Marshall 1930 popular combo - this wasn't like its name very popular at all. It was a 3 valve amp - 1 x ECC82 & 2 X ECL86's.
I have a very old RS transformer that I was thinking of using that came from an unidentified top cap radio (no details), driving several top cap valves and a 6V6GT output valve. I was thinking that it might be perfect for this project BUT I cannot identify it at all. I'm not sure if it will be servicable. Some while ago I was informed (Ed Dining?) that I could use my Megger wind up insulation tester to test transformers - can anyone point me in the right direction how to do this please?
