Had a similar problem regarding feed cable getting hot at an exhibition stand for Pfizer at the SEC moons ago, I was one of the carpenters building the stand, when all was done everything was fired up but the feed cable got hot, turned out to be all the fluorescent lights being used both for overhead lighting and the lighting of all the display panels, there was a lot of them, seem to remember that the electricians laid in another cable.
