No, what I saw was definitely live. Perhaps I'm getting my funerals mixed up?
As far as assassinations go, John Kennedy and Malcolm X were pre-UK colour which only leaves Martin Luther King (April 1968) and Bobby Kennedy (June 1968) ...
The only other US funeral of any significance I can come up with is Dwight D. Eisenhower (March/April 1969) but that would be too late for the Dual Standard Dynatron I was setting up - we only sold them briefly. (I can even remember who bought it, too!)
