The concrete floor we had consisted of inverted precast T beams that had a load of steel hooked sharks fins sticking out along the top, hollow 4" concrete blocks slung between the upturned T beams and then a 6" layer of concrete cast on top, and on top of that was a 2" cement screed, the concrete was made from Penlee quarry aggregate aka Blue Elvan, one of the hardest rocks known to man, we had to remove one of the beams and it's relevant section of cast concrete in order to fit a new stairway, prior to that there was no internal access from the ground floor to the concrete first floor, a Kango struggled, used a compressed air breaker in the end, pig of a job.
Eventually I battened the floor and laid floorboards.
