I am sure you know this, but I have found that some local AM radio stations can distort heavily. At one time I could receive Gold from their Southend (I think) transmitter and from London. On some valve radios one TX was distorted and the other was not, both seemed about the same strength. I believe it is to do with the amount of "modulation"
It would be nice to know why some circuits cant cope with the high modulation, and how it can be fixed.
