Perhaps less fiddly and neater: do you have any of those nylon fasteners* - a miniature version of the studs that secure the interior trim in lots of cars?
Drill out the centre of the tags and hold them in place so that you can make the soldered connections§ then place suitable insulators (mica washers?) between the tags and the board. Then fit the nylon fasteners.
* They may be a bit big for the job but lots of pubs - I see them in both Wetherspoon's and Ember Inns, so there are probably more - use them for fixing the details of their guest ales on the rear of their pumps so the staff can see which pump is which. If you can scrounge one of those signs and its fixings, the plastic card can be cut up to provide the insulating washers as well!
