Though some Vestels with Samsung panels are very good, our Toshiba being an example.
Brand loyalty is pointless today as each model can be radically good or bad. (iPhone 6 & iPhone7 vs better 4s and 5!, good and bad Samsung TVs and phones and tablets.) Good and bad Vestel models.
Some brands of TV/Radio are now fake, simply licensed badges or entirely outsourced: Philips (licensed badge), Bush (gone), Black Diamond, Akai, Alba(gone), Roberts (OEM chassis), RCA (gone since 1986), Telefunken, Grundig, Normende etc.
Not all Samsung are Samsung either.
Less than 40" are often not really HD, or nasty backlights, or built down to a price.
"Smart"/ethernet/wifi can add more than cost of a phone/tablet/laptop or even PS4 that has HDMI and often the YouTube / Netflix software or codecs go out of date and the "smart" is junk. Almost all the "smart" models have security vulnerabilities, or even send conversation to a server, and if the WiFi/ethernet is used at all (it's best avoided) then disable uPNP and block access to the internet for the TV at your Router, entirely. "Dumb" is better.
