Sink tops need to be bonded as modern taps cannot be certain to bond from copper pipe to top.
Electric showers demand all metal work in the room to be bonded, used to include the metal legs on plastic baths!
It is still a bit of a mine field and open to interpretation by the certifying sparky.
I thought that sinks didn't have to be bonded any more providing there's no path from the sink to earth.
