Nick, you're obviously in the Northern Hemisphere if it's Autumn at your QTH, but 28 C (about 82F)!! Hotter than most of our summer in the UK, though the humidity must make it uncomfortable!
Terry, I remember the 'spring' of '63 only too well, being involved in an accident on the way to work ine morning in early January that year, then not being able to get towork in the neighbouring town of Witney for some weeks afterwards. Chipping Norton, where I live, was cut off by snow -some 'spring!!
John, I sometimes think tha Midsummer & Midwinter days should be what their names suggest i.e. halfway through the seasons concerned.
