My four eBay bargains were:
- A Tektronix 7L5 spectrum analyser with tracking generator, in a mainframe, for £50 buy it now. The spec an usually goes for ten times that. I sold the mainframe and recouped my investment!
- A Tektronix AA501 audio distortion analyser for $14 buy it now. Usually sells for thirty times that.
- A new old stock Tektronix 7623B storage scope, in unopened sealed packaging. No-one else bid astonishingly, so I snagged it for$70. That houses the below 7L12:
- A bunch of Tek stuff which the seller had rescued from a skip that I picked up for a song. Apart from battered oscilloscope mainframes (all of which worked! - these things could take some serious abuse), there were two 7L12 rf specans, both parts units. I got it all home and found that there were enough bits to put one fully complete unit together, which works perfectly. And I have a box of tiny RF plumbing as spares bits.
