Thanks that is interesting. I remember seeing ships that had funnels that hinged over when passing under bridges on the Thames when I was a lad, it fascinated me at the time. Something I never see now.
Must have been cold during that bad winter with no generators and just an oil lamp. You have a good memory to recall your voyages and ships.
