David, I'm amazed you have a CATV amp that can deliver 15Vp-p. That's a transmitter by any other name. About 3W output.
Trevor's recommendation about using a greyscale test pattern is a good one. if you can turn off the sound modulator that can also be useful. I think you can do that with a SCRF405A but would need to look at the manual to find out how. Lock the scope to the video output of the Aurora. The grey scale test signal doesn't even need to be 405.
Peter's and Trevor's points about the heater supplies are good ones too. All too easy to overlook.
