I read a book in the last couple of years about ww2 radar advances which went into particular detail of the timeline and the technologies/people involved, a fascinating read which I was saddened to finish. The name escapes me presently but I will have a look when I get home and see if I still have it. I remember the front cover featured the silhouette of a fighter jet on a red background with some other detail, I recall thinking the fighter jet was somewhat irrelevant to WW2 but I guess it was meant to be eye-catching. I've searched but can't find a picture on the googletron at present.
