I shall be watching the programme on a (fairly)modern Philips CRT TV, which is coming up for 15 years old, as it's the only fully working TV I own. Though this re-creation of the very first broadcast will be interesting for the subject matter, I've never been interested in repairing or restoring old TVs, and in fact, back in the early 70s, I scrapped a Bush TV53 I'd previously repaired, having replaced it with a more recent set capable of receiving BBC2, which is also long gone, and the make of which I've now forgotten.
