I'll be using mu Marconiphone 703 Mastergram. OK, It wasn't built in 1936 but followed soon afterwards in 1937 so is reasonably true to history. As the program lasts 90 minutes, it will be a good soak for the CRT and not before time. I haven't switched the set on for more than 10 minutes over the last couuple of years.
Is that a full electrostatic CRT, Dave? I was wondering what the two blocks under the CRT neck were - are they something to do with the CRT of just a way for the EHT cables to get from the under-chassis to the CRT bas (and is that a 12 pin VCR type base?
