Ideally what would you need sync wise for your camera?  The line sync out is only present during active lines it stops during the field blanking period. The mixed field and line syncs are present at TTL level on pin 18. Unlike the sync out these will be negative going.

Of course you are quite correct, I had a look on the scope. Certainly the Pye lynx seems happy enough, there is no cogging or any other untoward effect using these syncs.
The Lynx has a socket under the camera that has connections to the line and frame oscillators for external locking and has some other connections that are video related.

The next thing is to build it into a case and then have a go at the modulator.
