Hi.
Well the gearbox issue has now worsened due to Electronics!!!!! Whereas I had jerky changes and the box not always going into 5th I now have one gear only (3rd) and reverse.
It's too risky to drive and its likely to ruin the internal clutches.
Why???? Because Rover's T4 didn't write to the Jatco ECU and corrupted it, so is the program or the ECU?
The search for a replacement car in reasonable nick is terrible. Like many Scottish cars of a certain age they are either badly maintained, dirty or rust buckets.
Sent for a NOS Jatco ECU but not sure if it'll need coding, something I'm not going to try just incase it's the program and not a fault in my ECU.
