Thanks for the offer of the source code.
Wow they are sophisticated projects but way out of my league, I would like to see the way you do fonts as I may add some text to the pattern if there is enough memory left and I haven't lost interest by then.
I can see how frequency could be accurately measured in JAL etc but even in Assembler I find you need to be careful where subroutines are placed or the number of cycles used could be different to what might have been expected.
I did a little more with it photo below.
