I've been watching videos by a certain 'Louis Rossman' on Youtube who has been battling against the forces of evil to get access to schematics and parts for Apple (and other manufacturers devices) who have succeeded in blocking the 'Right to Repair' bill in the US.
It's interesting what arguments the manufacturers come up with to prevent the data reaching outside of the company, the prime example being 'Apple' who stated to him that, if he repairs an apple laptop, then it ceases to be an apple laptop any longer, and instead suddenly becomes a PC instead. Sounds insane, but that is their argument nonetheless.
