Here is a photo of the corner of a similar cabinet ( KB 426, http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/kolsterbr_426.html ) it appears that the ply sides are rebated into a solid wood corner piece using tongue and grove joints. A bit beyond my skills and tooling I am afraid.
I can take lots of photos of similar sets cabinets.
