Zo = (L/C)^0.5 gives a clue that both inductance and capacitance are important parameters. Why people quote only one of these and then behave as if it is some proxy figure-of-merit for the line is beyond me.

Your second sentence is rather rude.
It would have been more in the spirit of this forum to have asked "Are you able to measure or do you know the inductance of your cable?"
