As I see it at the moment anything sub VHF spectrum wise seems to have little future use for consumers except possibly RFID cards but that's not broadcasting as such.
The bands will stay quite until something else comes along, as to what that might be who knows, what can you fit a lot of in such a narrow spectrum that you can make a lot of dosh with....
