Bob what can I say other than excellent.
I have been experimenting with the Russian Rod Pentode valves for some time. I'm one for forgetting to take photos and often wish I did.
I too wanted to make a little VHF set using super-regen. One I made some years ago with an Acorn valve worked incredibly well for just one valve.
Recently I lashed up a 5 valve VHF set with the rod valves, It was a crystal controlled superhet and did work. What I would like to is to build a rod pentode superhet with the dual grid valves and use one as a mixer thus cutting down the valve count, use a chip audio amp and hopefully run it from a PP3 & AA battery.
