My response was partly an excuse to share that video again, but mostly to say "that stuff is out there, but not relevant to your question". Which is why I didn't go too far down the path of transmission line theory.
It's worth saying that 600 ohm audio cable doesn't actually exist. In practice, long lines of twisted pairs are usually in the 100 to 140 ohm region, and are often used with 2:1 transformers at each end, which gives roughly 600 ohms.
