L7 in not an RFC. It is an LFC. In the original circuit, I was using choke capacity coupling from V2 to V3, which worked fine until I added the RF stage V1 when it all went wrong. The arrangement shown in the blueprint was the only way I could get it to work! L7 is, in fact, the high impedance half of an LT44!
