Thanks.   I have never even heard of an RF peak capacitor though!      In this one, I will have to leave it as it is anyway, because a new variable capacitor may not fit in the gap.      I did have quite a struggle getting the reaction to work after I added the RF stage, but the resistors and decoupling capacitor in the anode of V2 cured the problem.
