Yes, they are splendid little valves. I got mine from the Vintage Wireless Co. Bristol almost 30 years ago. He had a new dustbin filled to the top with them - an estimated 10,000! at 15p each. Purchased a bagfull 
The valve is soldered to the DIN plug and the brass tube is from a model shop. The tube is fixed on by filling it with plastic padding (car body filler). I made up a number of them years ago, hence the rather scruffy looking brass, but they polish up fine!
