My mistake, I've just double checked the number on one of the valves with my best glasses and a magnifying glass and it is a 6J5. I've just looked it up and the heater is 6.3V at 0.3A. I presume the heaters are in series (I'll check this on the pcb) and so 500mA would do. I'm sure I saw it had a 12V heater. Must be what's called a senior moment.
