So.... Lathe arrived today,bit disappointed the seller was a bit shy with the truth of his description unfortunately, and pulled a fast one on the photo front also. Seller said the cross slide was complete when in actual fact it's far from it. Also there's no tailstock chuck, seller said there was and it was in the sent photos. Ah.... The photos, they were of a different greeny blue lathe to the one I received which is a dirty blue colour. Anyways there are positives the bearings are in good nick, it looks like a newish 3 jaw chuck and the ways are in great condition? Now I need to find me a cross slide and a tailstock chuck.
