Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with this mains/battery set?
There doesn't seem to be many around so I suspect by now they might be a bit rare as most of them have ended their days in a rubbish skip!
There appears to only one service sheet by the manufacturers which is a bit low on detail and I would welcome any stock fault info and tips.
I'll definitely need to replace the 50uF + 50uF cap as it is definitely not interested in being reformed.
I think the DRM2B rectifier is not performing so will replace with a 1N4007 diode and resistor - in fact the circuit shows a resistor in series with the rectifier but there is no value given.
The set has had a hard life with a number of the mains dropper sections bridged (bodged) with big w/w resistors.
Has anyone used capacitive droppers?
