Well done young Trev, although bear in mind that once you've used your stock of Components you'll have to replace them.
Recently a Mate of mine asked me to look at an Amp he'd been give. He potters about with a Guitar and his Lad does some Drumming and playing. They've been using a tin-pot little Amp to practice with.
I'm entirely un-musical and know nothing about the finer points of Guitar Amps. As far as I'm concerned if you can't measure it it 'aint Science.
The report was that it was dead. It turned out to be, as far as I can make out, a 'Peavey Studio Chorus 210' in a home-made Cabinet with an enormous Speaker, plus space for another one.
The 'Fix' was tremendously difficult - I switched it on and twiddled the Knobs as per the Manual. They were most impressed and I retired hurt - Loud hardly describes it. I've offered to fit another Speaker and other Bells and Whistles if he buys them but he's resisting so far.
