Hi.
Nice write up and a good job well done.
I'm 90% through a Bassman 50 Silverface from the early 70's. It too is whisper quiet, the Mallory electrolytic caps being the next job.
This amp though was mighty rough being left in a wet garage for nearly 20 years, the paper composition tag boards were in an awful state. The rectifier board was binned and a new one made out of tag board, same size and far more professional than Fenders original, the smoothing section was also the same and it got the same treatment. Fortunately the main tag board responded to a long soak in isopropyl alcohol and 24 hours on an oil filled radiator.
All 6 controls were seized so needed replacement, just awaiting on the low voltage caps to come then job done.
