One very obvious difference compared to my Fluke 87 is that the low current ranges use the same socket as the voltage etc. This means you can blow the low current fuse a bit too easily by accident. You can argue that an AVO had the same arrangment but the cutout was easily reset. Just need to take due care. At least the current ranges are the other side of the off position so you can reach them by accident and the 10A range is first so even if you overshoot the off position you've got a margin of safety.
