I have experimented with quite a few 50w MR16 replacements and would mirror Jeffrey's comments about optimistic lumen specs, reduced cone spread and less than perfect colour content. We have two rows of three in our kitchen ceiling but I felt I couldn't get away with replacing more than half with LEDs.
