I've just found this list of all the BBC premises. Very interesting to see how many places they had a finger in.

Under London W12 is listed a BBC training studio at Woodstock Grove, Brian, so that must be where my old friend ended up. Probably training lighting engineers or such.
It is in the right location as I recall............he used to go in the Telegraph pub
with his buddies, which is quite near.
