Hello Folks,
As well as my old televisions, radios and computers (and many other interests !!) I have a thing for old typewriters.
It all started off seeing an Oliver 5 picture and thinking I need one of these to restore / have a play around with.
Since then I now have five different typers, all early and for one reason or another interesting (to me at least.)
They are:
Oliver 5 - Sn: 273045 - 1907
Remington Standard 7 - Sn: 194048 - 1906
Imperial Standard D - Sn: 57412 - 1919
Royal Standard 10 - Sn: X-889676 - 1924
Underwood Standard 5 - Sn: 623517 - 1913
I have spent very many enjoyable hours cleaning and working on all of these.
Anyone else out there an appreciator of old typewriters?
What stories do you have.
Alan.
