"Mr Casey? This is EDF here, your electricity supplier, and I'm calling to let you know that we are planning to change your meter to a Smart meter. Have you heard of Smart meters?"
"Yes, I know all about Smart meters"
"Good. When would be a convenient time to fit the meter?"
"There's usually someone here all day."
"The meter is fitted with SIM card so that it sends readings back to EDF so that there is no need for any more estimated bills. Where is you meter situated?
"In the cellar."
"Is there a mobile phone signal in your cellar?"
"I don't know - I've never tried to use a mobile down there!"
"I'll make a note about that on your file. The new meter will probably be fitted in two or three months time. We'll contact you again nearer the time"
"We're in the process of moving at the moment so, hopefully, we won't still be here then!"
"Ah! OK Mr Casey, thank you very much for your time. Goodbye!"
