The Pye model 45A mains radio has the same style of cabinet as the 65A and in fact I think the chassis metalwork is also the same as the battery model. The valve line up is: CCH35, EF39 and CBL31, it's a short superhet. The HT supply rectifier is a Mullard CY31 which appears to be mounted along with heater volts dropper resistor on a above chassis assembly.
Examination of the circuits and component layout of the two receivers seems to suggest that the tuning coils and waveband switching is also similar.
