It can sometimes be a surprise wot's in rocks, down here pitchblende was the most notable, Trenwith Mine (a la Madam Curie) and South Terras were the two main sources, Trenwith is now mainly a car park, South Terras was still accessible, last time I was around there, don't venture in though the geiger count will go mad....
