Although this has drifted away from the 'Correct Fitting' thread title, I will now add that, at last the 'Music maker' is working, including the autochanger, with which, in the end, I didn't have very much trouble, despite never having worked on a Collaro deck before. Getting the needle set-down point acceptably correct was a bit of a fiddle, not least because the turntable has to be removed after each adjustment, if it needs a further 'tweak', and it's so easy to 'over correct'. Electronically the player is working as well as I'd expect, though I still feel that the hum level is a bit high. Just needs a new stylus now ( BSR ST8 on order from 'gettheneedle.com') A BSR X5H had been fitted sometime before the player was brought to me, no doubt because the original Collaro Cartridge had failed.
