Oh, Jeffrey, I tried my wife',s ipad, had my nails clipped, but these bricklayers hands of mine don't fit! My phone is an ancient Nokia 1200 with buttons! I just about cope with that. Using the ipad touch screen for typing and having to constantly change from letters to numbers drives me mad. 
I've bought some stylii off the bay but won't have them till we get home ( Got 1 from China for 22p including post- how can they do that? )
so this nice large keyboard is better for me. Sitting on a remote beach you don't have much access to the modern accoutrements. Wifi runs here at between 0.8KB/sec and 76KB/sec, so it takes time. Been downloading 211MB of software since 9am, its now 5PM and it may finish today!
I know I am a Luddite but I'm happy here among friends, its 34 degrees now, sweaty fingers on a miniature screen is not an option.
Besides, its not me that's defective, its the technology. Ergonomically these phones and tablets don't suit.
