Tyre pressure sensors are essential with low profile boots. The wife's last car, a Focus, had low profiles on without sensors, and after a longish run on dual carriageway, the only thing that brought the flat back tyre to her attention was the smell of hot rubber (!) The tyre fitter said it was common for them to completely disintegrate and that a deflating tyre with a high side wall at least let's you know something is wrong. Also the cost (£225 each in that case, and that was with shopping round), is something not many people ask about when buying a car with fancy rim's
